CORONAVIRUS - STAY SAFE

How you can do your part to help stop the spread of Coronavirus Covid-19:

  • Follow and share these steps to help us all stay safe:

  • Wash your hands more than you did before - regularly - with soap for 20 seconds (sing the Happy Birthday song twice to help count the time) and dry your hands straight away.

  • Soap helps to kill the virus but it needs time, so wash your hands for 20 seconds or more.

  • The virus spreads from droplets that come out of your mouth or nose.

  • You must cough or sneeze into your elbows or a tissue and throw the tissue away straight away.

  • Do not cough or sneeze into your hands.

  • Avoid touching your face (especially your mouth, nose and eyes).

  • Avoid picking your nose - use a cotton bud if you have to and dispose of it safely.

  • Stop shaking hands or doing high five πŸ– or fist bumps πŸ‘Š with anyone - even friends or family or business people to protect you and them.

  • Stop touching your face or eyes because the virus can enter through your eyes and nose and mouth.

  • Do not share food utensils like folks or spoons or glasses or cups or straws when eating.
Even with loved ones and babies or children.

  • Wash surfaces like door handles, tables, counters and bench tops with soap and water or Dettol and water or disinfectant and water to help kill the virus droplets, just in case somebody coughed or sneezed on them without you knowing. Or maybe they touched something else that had the droplets and then touched other surfaces. So keep surfaces clean.

  • Avoid touching surfaces like tables or counters in public areas where you do not know if they have been kept clean. Like at banks or bars or restaurants for example. Also beware of door handles.

  • Keep a safe distance from people.
Because if you are close to someone who is infected for more than 15 minutes and they are breathing or talking or cough or sneeze, you risk catching the virus.

  • Stay about 1.5 to 2 metres away from others as much as you can.
This is called Social Distancing and it is very important it will help you not catch the virus or spread it.

  • Social Distancing also means you must not gather in large groups.
Because it reduces the number of people who can be infected.

  • Avoid gatherings of 10 or more people as much as you can.
This will be hard and may sound impossible for many of us.
For example with religious, wedding, celebration, social, work or funeral gatherings.
But think about it - the deceased person whose funeral you did not attend - they would not like to see you join them too soon!
They will understand if you go and pay your respects when this is virus crisis is all over.
Be alive and then pay your respects. Don’t pay your respects and then die or kill others.
Also think about this: what if you take the virus to those who are grieving and you infect them or someone there infects you? It could lead to more deaths and more grieving.
You do not want to be the person who does that.

  • If you feel like you have any cold or flu symptoms, please please please, try and stay away from people or the workplace.
Also be sure to phone your doctor before you go and seeing them so you do not infect other people who may be visiting the doctor for their other essential treatments like treatments for cancer or something else.

  • This virus affects everyone in some way.
Black, Brown or White. Young or old. Everyone.

Some people will die, some will have nothing more than a running nose or a cough.
Some will not show any symptoms at all but can still spread the virus.

  • We now also know that dogs can carry the virus.
So love and care for your pets but do not let them kiss or lick your face.
And be sure to wash your hands after playing with them or if they lick your hands.

If we all follow these simple steps and measures as much as we can, we can really help to stop the spread of Coronavirus Covid-19 and we can get back to our normal life soon with fewer deaths and sadness.

CORONAVIRUS - STAY SAFE

What we are doing during the crisis and what we would like to do to help others

We are conducting the majority of our training sessions including Microsoft Team training and Office 365 Overview training by remote video training or webinar to help our clients and partners with business continuity and to help people work remotely or work from home.

Contact us if you would like to help you and your teams with that. Social distancing is important during this pandemic. We would love to be able help. We have partners you can talk to about deploying or purchasing hardware or software if you need that, and we can help you with training your teams to use these.

This will enable social distancing while also helping teams learn, work and collaborate together during this time.

Why we did not do remote training before

The answer is simple. Nothing beats training in person and on-site.

As expert and professional trainers we always strive to deliver the utmost best training experience.

We rely on subtle visual cues that take place when people are learning together to adapt our training style on the spot and make sure every attendee gets the most out of their training session.

These cues are often missing or lost when someone is staring at you through a video camera.

There are also certain valuable learning interactions that remote or video based training just can not provide.

Why we are doing it now

Our Founder Derek F Bradshaw believes that

" We are all One.  In a crisis we should all pull together and contribute what we can."

So we want to do our part and help teams around the world get up to speed quickly during this pandemic by offering our Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office 365 Overview, Microsoft Planner, OneDrive and SharePoint File Management and other sessions via remote video training sessions.

" For our society to keep functioning as best as it can during this crisis, people have to be able to keep working. Businesses have to have continuity. Trade has to continue. "

We want to help enable that.
